Sell Your Hametz
Preparing for Passover includes the traditional sale of one’s hametz. According to Jewish law, we remove hametz food and utensils used with hametz from our possession for the duration of the holiday. To observe this practice, we arrange for the sale of our hametz and related utensils to a non-Jew.
It is also customary to make a donation when selling your hametz. Simply complete the form below to authorize the sale, and if you wish, include an optional donation.

Donations help fight food security in Israel.
It is traditional when selling one’s hametz to make a donation. In the spirit of Ma’ot Hittim (Wheat Money), a mitzvah about making sure people have food for Passover, Har Zion is raising money to fight food insecurity in Israel.
Donations will be forwarded to Leket Israel, the National Food Bank. Leket Israel is the leading food rescue organization in Israel. Unique among all other organizations that serve the poor in Israel and food banks worldwide, Leket Israel’s sole focus is rescuing healthy, surplus food and delivering it to those in need through partner nonprofit organizations.
