Simchat Torah Evening at Har Zion Temple

Saturday, October 3 – 6:00pm

We invite our entire congregation to join our JFGRS students and elementary-age families for a joyful Simchat Torah evening at Har Zion as we celebrate the Torah and the many generations who bring our community to life.

A highlight of the evening will be our hakafot, the traditional processions and dancing with the Torahs. With music led by Cantor Herman, each hakafah will give us an opportunity to recognize and honor different members of our community, including families, children, longtime members, and others who help make Har Zion so special. As each group is honored, everyone will be invited to join the circle, sing, dance, and celebrate together.

The evening will also include prayer, a light dinner, plenty of music and singing, and the joy of gathering as one community around the Torah. Whether you are dancing with the Torah, joining the circle, or simply taking in the energy of the celebration, there will be a place for everyone to participate.

We’ll conclude the evening with an ice cream bar as we continue celebrating together in the spirit of Simchat Torah.
