Preserving Our Family Stories of the Shoah
Har Zion Temple is beginning A Year of Testimony, a meaningful project led by David Tabby to collect and preserve the stories of Shoah victims, survivors, and their descendants connected to our community. Whether your family has carried these stories for generations or you are just beginning to learn more, this project is an opportunity to make sure these memories, names, documents, and experiences are not lost.
Dr. Tabby will work with participants to help gather and preserve family stories, photos, documents, and memories. At the conclusion of the project, one copy of the collection will be presented to Har Zion Temple on Yom HaShoah 2027, and another will reside permanently in Whitwell, Tennessee, as part of the Gilbert Tabby Artifacts Collection at the Children’s Holocaust Memorial, home of the Paper Clips Project.
Please complete the form below if you would like to share your family’s story, submit photos or documents, or begin learning more about your family’s connection to the Shoah.
