Welcome to Har Zion Temple
Wonderful spiritual, educational, and social experiences occur here every day - we look forward to greeting you.
From our Main Line suburban Philadelphia location, we offer twice daily minyanim, award-winning child and adult education, one-to-one learning and counseling with our clergy, and festive Shabbat, holiday and life cycle celebrations to all our members. There is also the opportunity to join together in any of our many committees and groups including Sisterhood, Men’s Club, Home & School Associatio (HSA), PTA, Aviv (20's and 30's at Har Zion), Active Adults (HAZAAC), for educational and social events, and to participate in Tikkun Olam projects that add another meaningful layer to the Har Zion experience.
We invite you to use this website as an entrance to the Har Zion community and we hope you will be inspired to join us in person. It is our mission to offer welcome to you and your family, so please feel free to observe a Shabbat service or speak with our Executive Director, Gavi Miller, to truly begin to understand the strength of community and family here at Har Zion. Come Home.
On May 10, 2012, Philly native, Akiba grad and ABC News Senior White House Correspondent Jake Tapper came to Har Zion for our Patrons Event. Tapper spoke about current political issues and responded well to a question and answer session. This year’s Patrons program was a success, and enables Har Zion to provide funding for religious, educational and cultural enrichment that benefits the entire congregation.

This year the Purim Shpiel followed the yellow brick road into the land of PersOz as the Gorson Auditorium was turned into a dinner theater. The shpiel featured the renowned Penn Valley Players who, once again, entertained the congregation with their enthusiastic rendition of the story of Purim told with music, beautiful scenery and special effects. The reviews were wonderful and well-deserved for a cast who works hard to put a smile on our Har Zion faces.
